At Dr. Morais ND, we are dedicated to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of personal health information (PHI) entrusted to us by our patients. We strictly comply with Ontario's Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA, 2004) and the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Electronic Medical Records & Online Booking
All patient charts, lab requisitions, and appointments booked through OutsmartEMR utilize encrypted, Canadian-hosted servers complying with PIPEDA and PHIPA standards. We do not sell, rent, or distribute personal health information to third-party commercial entities.
Website Inquiries & Contact Forms
Information submitted via our contact or consultation discovery forms is transmitted securely and used exclusively by Dr. Morais's clinic staff to respond to your inquiry and schedule consultations.
Your Rights & Access to Records
Under Ontario law, you have the right to request access to or a copy of your personal health records, as well as to request corrections if you believe the information is incomplete or inaccurate. For inquiries regarding our privacy practices, please contact us at askdrmorais@gmail.com.
